Yassine Rami scored a quick-fire brace for Hassania Agadir in a 2-1 Caf Confederations Cup Group A win over Otoho d’Oyo at Stade Adrar in Agadir on Sunday evening.
The Moroccan defender found the back of the net on two occasions within four second-half minutes as the hosts recorded a much needed win.
Victory moves HUSA up to four points in the group, two clear of Otoho and bottom placed Raja Casablanca. The defending champions suffered a 4-2 defeat away to RS Berkane in Rabat earlier today.
Berkane lead a group that includes no fewer than three Moroccan teams having conjured seven points from three games.
Rami fired the hosts ahead in the 50th minute before doubling their advantage four minutes later. Matthews Batamba halved the deficit in the 88th minute to make for a nervy finish, but HUSA held on to secure all three points.
Otoho d’Oyo will welcome the same opponents in Owando, Congo in the reverse fixture on the 3rd of March.
